WELCOME!

My #1 PRIORITY IS TRANSPARENCY AND COMMUNICATION!

I created this blog for you, the residents of Century Village, to make your voices known! The goal of the blog is to make your compliments and concerns known to all. Give us your comments on topics that you would like discussed at Synergy Club meetings, issues you would like addressed by WPRF and/or UCO. Do you get the help you need? Are your questions answered? You are more than welcome to spread the blog link to all of your friends and family throughout the village to give them an opportunity to speak as well! The only rules are – no profanity, be respectful, no inappropriate language. That’s it! Note – topics will not immediately appear after submission until cleared for the rules above. We want everyone to have a pleasant blog experience.

WOW! THANK YOU LESLIE!

All I can say is, WOW! What a fantastic presentation by our guest speaker, Leslie Alvarez, of Community ACE!

We had a record-breaking turnout, the largest ever, for an awesome presentation titled “Own Your Board!“. I thought I knew how to conduct board meetings. Nope, not true. I learned a heckuva lot from Leslie’s presentation. I understand why, with her almost 30 years of experience and training as a CAM, an instructor, a business owner and board director.

I received so many compliments from the attendees that absolutely enjoyed her performance and who also learned so much from her. And the best part of all – we would not have had the privilege without her volunteerism and willingness to teach us on her own time – and dime! On behalf of the Synergy Club and all of the members and attendees, I want to thank you so much Leslie for everything!

Yes, there’s more! Not only did she educate us on how to conduct proper Board Meetings, but she also graciously allowed us to have a copy of her PowerPoint presentation that we can use to present follow-up classes for those who missed the class and others who join the Synergy Club later on.

Not only is Leslie a great educator, but as I mentioned earlier, she is also the founder and owner of Community ACE, a management company that helps COA managed communities reach their full potential. They do this by utilizing the following tools:

  • An online portal designed for each owner to improve community transparency with access to documents and self-service tools, work order submissions, payments and more.
  • Vendor management to ensure compliance with Association requirements.
  • Management of short and long-term maintenance for structural needs (roof, exterior, foundation, internal systems).
  • Violation management and oversight.
  • Long-term financial solutions to minimize or avoid excessive dues increases and special assessments.
  • Management to prevent legal issues and costly disputes.

And more…

For those of you who may be unhappy with your current property management company, this may be an excellent alternative for you to think about handling your property management needs. Here is Leslie’s information:

Our next Synergy Club meeting in two weeks will feature a well-known attorney who will cover the Fair Housing Administration rules on Discrimination, Emotional Support Animals and Service Animals. We look forward to seeing everyone then!
